A pair of very intelligent brothers created the first successful airplane, Wilbur and Orville Wright.  Their story leading up to the legendary creation is inspiring.  Two young boys growing up in Dayton, Ohio didn't have much other than their deep curiosity for how things work and a loving family.  At a young age Wilbur Wright conducted his own experiments, showing his fascination for science.  When the brothers Wilbur and Orville were gifted a toy helicopter by their father, they were inspired to learn more about aviation.  At age 21 Orville Wright starts a shop to repair and sell bikes.  In May of 1899 the idea of creating a flying device was born.  Starting out as a glider, the modern airplane starts to take shape.  The brothers invent and test their creation at the sand dunes in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.  Although others attempted to create the airplane, Wilbur and Orville Wright were the first to achieve this legendary invention.
